    1. Poetry is my favorite genre so it was quite exciting to discover that the poetry from two of my favorite books by Hunter S. Jones and An Anonymous English Poet, September Ends and September Again, was published separately. Each poem is preceded by a short commentary that functions as a way for those who haven’t read the September books to put the poetry into context. For those who have read the books, it serves as a reminder to the events. This is important because the Prequel, featuring Jack [...]

    2. This is a beautiful addition to the September Stories. The behind the scenes glimpses into the writing of September Ends and September Again-the poetry and the prose-draws us further into the lives of the very realistic characters of Liz, Pete and Jack. I recommend this for poetry lovers or for anyone who wants to read something different during the summer.

    3. "September Verses" by Hunter S. Jones and her Anonymous poet friend is a great companion to the two main books that have been published in the Septemer series so far.The book collects the beautiful poetry from the first two volumes and connects them with thoughtful paragraphs, refreshing the story of the two books and connecting the dots for us.I was pleasantly surprised and stunned at how well these poems work (almost) on their own and how they manage to convey the feeling and storylines of the [...]

    4. I read the first two books in the September Series, “September Ends” and “September Again” and was completely captivated by the unique style and beautiful verse woven throughout the stories. I was excited to discover that the poetry had been published in a separate book. It’s certainly deserving of its own volume—but there’s more. The author has included behind the scenes looks at the characters that gave me new insight into their lives. Now I want to reread the entire series. This [...]

    5. I haven't read either of the September Stories by Hunter S. Jones so when I learned the poetry of the books had been released, I wanted a copy. Now, I can't wait to read the books. The poetry is deep but written in a way that makes it easy and fun to read. The Editor's Cut is such a fun idea. It feels as if I've taken a peek into not only the characters of these books, but into the mind of the writers. I highly recommend this for your summer reading list!

    6. Unique and Unexpected.September Verses is the first book I have read in the September Stories. It is the poetry of the first two books mixed with Editor's Cuts. Somehow, this really worked for me, drawing me into the lives of Jack O Savage, Liz Snow and Pete Hendrix. I cannot wait to start from book 1 in this series and find out more!

    7. September Verses brings us closer to the very real characters of Liz, Pete and Jack from September Ends and September Again. I love the behind the scene edits mixed with the poetry from the first two books! This is a unique addition to the series. I highly recommend it.

    8. A very unique concept, taking the poetry of books 1 & 2 of the September Stories and adding a bit of the insight behind the books. I enjoyed this short read a great deal.

    9. "September Verses" by Hunter S. Jones is the perfect addition to the series. The poetry is prolific as is the writing. There were qualities in each book that I really enjoyed. I would expect the author to have a strong following as she is beyond talented. These books touched me. I was easily absorbed and loved the escape that all three books provided. Now I would like to know more about this Anonymous English Poet. How romantic that sounds. How can I not be curious? I loved the insiders look int [...]

    10. Having read (and LOVED) the first two books, this was a brilliant and refreshing take on the poems from the September series. I wasn't a poetry lover until now!! September Versus is poetry in motion, with a beautifully written versus that dances between the thoughts and insights shared by the author and the anonymous English Poet.

    11. I have not read the first two books in the September saga, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the story of Liz and her daughter and the way in which they deal with Jack O. Savage’s death. The author did a brilliant job, placing the reader in the midst of the struggles the characters endure in trying to pull their lives together. This was a novella that hit all the right nerves. Well done!

    12. September Verses by Hunter S Jones is a unique collection of darlings removed from two previous novels - September Ends and September Again. I am so glad the author did not send them into oblivion for this reader loved the poetry and links to characters in such a different way. Insightful words woven into a tapestry of life like no other. A must read for all romantics and lovers of poetry.

    13. It's a brilliant concept to take the poetry from the first book, create an entire volume of poetry, and then edit. These are the poems cut. I love this.

    14. Started out promising, and then became borderline creepy, bizarro, BDSM-type weirdness that I had no interest in reading. The pictures were distracting and felt like a cheap gimmick.

    15. Hunter.S.Jones has an absolutely lyrical way of writing and reading her poems is an enchanting and introspective experience.
